Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is a radiopharmaceutical agent, used for brain imaging in adult patients with suspected Parkinsonian syndromes (PS). When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity.
Dosage & When it is to be taken : IV- The recommended dose is 111 to 185 MBq. How it should be taken : It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein. Warnings and Precautions : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver or kidney impairment, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Side Effects : Headache, nausea, fainting, dry mouth or dizziness. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it at room temperature (20° to 25°C). |
