This medication is an antiviral agent, prescribed for certain eye infections. It prevents the reproduction of the herpes simplex virus.

What is the dosage of Idoxuridine Ophthalmic?

0.5% ophthalmic ointment: The recommended dosage is every 4 hours during day and once before bedtime.
As 0.1% solution: Instill 1 drop hourly. 4 times/day, continue treatment for at least 7 days.
