Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is a peptidomimetic agent, prescribed for Hereditary Angioedema (HAE). It blocks the action of a substance named as bradykinin, which is responsible for the HAE symptoms.
When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): Hypersensitivity.

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

Dosage & When it is to be taken : 
The recommended dose is 30 mg administered by subcutaneous (SC) injection in the abdominal area.
How it should be taken : 
It comes as a solution for injection, to be administered by a healthcare provider under the skin.
Warnings and Precautions : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of any allergy, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
* It may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or tiredness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while using this medication.
Side Effects : 
Rash, nausea and headache.
Other Precautions : 
* Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store between 2 - 25° C. Do not freeze.
