Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is an enzyme, prescribed as an adjuvant in subcutaneous fluid administration for achieving hydration, dispersion and absorption of other injected drugs, and improving resorption of radiopaque agents. 
When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 
Hypersensitivity.

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

Dosage & When it is to be taken : 
Adult: SC- The recommended dose is 1,500 u for every 500-1,000 mL of fluid for SC administration.
How it should be taken : 
It comes as a solution for injection, to be administered by a healthcare under the skin.
Warnings and Precautions : 
*Caution should be exercised in patients with history of impaired kidney function, infections, elderly, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side Effects : 
Hives and occasionally severe allergic reaction may occur.
Other Precautions : 
* Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store unopened vials in a refrigerator at 2° to 8°C.
