When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : Gentamicin Sterile Ophthalmic Solution: Instill one or two drops into the affected eye every 4 hours. How it should be taken : It comes as eye drops and ointment to instill into the affected eyes as directed by your physician. Special Instruction : *It may cause blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. *It may cause harm if it is swallowed. *Avoid long-term use of this medication; otherwise it may cause secondary infection. *Caution should be exercised in patients with history of any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Side Effects : Irritated, burning, or stinging eyes. *The infection can be spread to another person if you accidentally contaminate the medication. Storage Conditions : Keep this medication out of the reach of children and away from heat. |
