Why is Gadobenate- Dimeglumine Prescribed? (Indications)

This medication is a gadolinium-based MRI contrast medium. It is also used to diagnose atherosclerosis. It produces magnetic effects.

When should Gadobenate- Dimeglumine not be taken? (Contraindications)

Hypersensitivity.

What is the dosage of Gadobenate- Dimeglumine?

Adults and Children (older than 2 y of age) - IV bolus 0.1 mmol/kg (0.2 mL/kg).

It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein.
