This medication is an amino glycoside anti-infective agent, prescribed for eye/ear infections. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : Adult: Ophthalmic infections- As 0.5% ointment: Apply 2-3 times/day. Ear infections as 0.5% solution: Apply as directed. Topical As 1% preparation: Apply as directed. How it should be taken : It comes as eye/ear drops, and ointment to apply topically. Special Instruction : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney or liver impairment, damaged ear, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Side Effects : Local- Irritation, itching and sensitivity. *Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it at room temperature and keep away from children. |
