Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is an antidote, prescribed for potentially dangerous allergic reactions to insect stings or bites, foods, drugs or other substances. It is also used for asthma.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


Contraindicated in patients with increased eye pressure, shock, during anesthesia, heart disease, during labor and hypersensitivity.

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.


When it is to be taken : 
Adult - SC/IM – The recommended dose is 0.2 to 1 mL (mg). Start with a small dose and increase if required.
Child: SC - The recommended dose is 0.01 mg/kg or 0.3 mg/m2 to a maximum of 0.5 mg, repeated every four hours if required.
How it should be taken : 
It comes as a solution for injection to be administered by a healthcare provider into the vein or muscle.
Special Instruction : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart problems, overactive thyroid, asthma, increased eye pressure, high blood pressure, gastrointestinal obstruction, prostate enlargement, head injury, diabetes, any allergy, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Side Effects : 
Headache, anxiety and palpitations.
Other Precautions : 
*Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store it at room temperature (15° - 25°C) and in an airtight container. Keep away from children.
