Trade Name(s): India- Mebryl OKT3, Mebryl. International- Mebryl, Medrin. Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is an antihistamine and anticholinergic, prescribed for severe allergic conditions. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): Hypersensitivity. Dosage & When it is to be taken : PO- The recommended dose is 25mg, every 4 to 6 hours. Max: 150mg. How it should be taken : It comes a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food. Warnings and Precautions : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of elderly, closed-angle glaucoma, prostate enlargement, heart disease, and epilepsy. * Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication. Side Effects : Headache, sleep disorder, low blood pressure, loss of appetite, asthma, bone marrow depression, constipation, drowsiness, increased sweating, tingling, shock, swelling, weight gain, urinary hesitancy, urinary retention and sputum. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it at room temperature. |
