International- Phospholine Iodide. This medication is an acetyl cholinesterase inhibitor, prescribed for glaucoma. The medication lowers the eye pressure. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : Adult: Instill (0.03%)1 or 2 drops into the affected eyes, twice daily, just before bedtime and in the morning. Accommodative Esotropia- Child: Instill 1 drop of 0.125% solution once daily in both eyes on retiring, for 2 to 3 weeks. How it should be taken : It comes as eye drops to instill into the affected eyes as directed by a physician. Special Instruction : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of swelling or infection in the eye, closed angle eye pressure, any allergy, during pregnancy and lactation. * For topical use only. Side Effects : Allergic reactions- Skin rash, itching or hives and swelling of the face, lips or tongue. Eye- Changes in vision, eye pain, trouble seeing at night, sensitivity to light and increased flow of tears. Heart- Irregular heartbeat. * Wash your hands before and after use of this medication. Storage Conditions : Prior to reconstitution: Store under refrigeration (2° to 8°C). After reconstitution: Store it at room temperature (25° C). Do not refrigerate. Keep away from children. |
