This medication is an antidiarrheal and anticholinergic combination, prescribed for acute nonspecific diarrhea.

When should Difenoxin and Atropine not be taken? (Contraindications)

Contraindicated in patients with jaundice, intestinal mucosa, pseudomembranous colitis, children less than 2 years and hypersensitivity.

What is the dosage of Difenoxin and Atropine?

PO- The recommended starting dose in adults is 2 tablets (2 mg), then 1 tablet (1 mg) after each loose stool or 1 tablet (1 mg) every 3 to 4 hours as needed.
