Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is an NSAID, prescribed for severe pain. This medication decreases the hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 


Contraindicated in patients who have experienced with asthma and hives after taking NSAIDs and hypersensitivity.

Category D : There is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.


When it is to be taken : 
PO- The recommended dosage is 100-200 mg/day in divided doses.
How it should be taken : 
It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with food.
Special Instruction : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver or kidney disease, swelling of the hands, feet, ankles or lower legs, high blood pressure, dehydration, blood disorder, smoking habit, alcohol abuse, any allergy, elderly, children, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
* It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
* Monitor kidney, liver functions, blood electrolyte levels, complete blood cell counts and blood pressure regularly while taking this medication.
Side Effects : 
Body as a Whole - Fever, infection and sepsis.
Heart - Heart failure, high blood pressure, fast heart rate and fainting.
Gastrointestinal - Dry mouth, inflammation of gastrointestinal tract, gastric/peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, mouth ulcer and jaundice.
Blood - Eosinophilia, decrease in white blood cells, blood in stool, bruising, rectal bleeding and decrease in platelets.
Metabolic - Weight changes.
Central Nervous System - Anxiety, weakness, confusion, depression, dream abnormalities, drowsiness, sleeplessness, uneasiness, nervousness, tingling, tremors and unsteadiness.
Respiratory - Asthma and difficulty in breathing.
Skin - Hair loss, photosensitivity and increased sweating.
Eye - Blurred vision.
Genitourinary - Bladder inflammation, painful urination, blood in urine, protein in urine and kidney failure.
Other Precautions : 
* Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store it at room temperature and in an airtight container. Keep away from excess heat and moisture.
