International- Humorsol. This medication is a parasympathomimetic agent, prescribed for glaucoma. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : Ophthalmic- The initial recommended dose is 1 or 2 drops (adults) in the glaucomatous eye. How it should be taken : It comes as eye drops to instill into the affected eyes. Special Instruction : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart failure, high or low blood pressure, heart attack, asthma, stomach ulcer, epilepsy, overactive thyroid, Parkinson’s disease, urinary obstruction, who are taking other medications, any allergy, and in breastfeeding women. * It may cause blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. * Avoid wearing contact lenses while using this medication. * It may cause retinal detachment; consult with your healthcare provider before taking this medication. Side Effects : Eye - Stinging, burning, excessive discharge of tears, lid muscle twitching, eye redness, brow ache, headache and induced shortsightedness. Miscellaneous - Nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, urinary incontinence, salivation, sweating, difficulty in breathing, slow heart rate or heart irregularities. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store it in dry cool place. |
