This medication is a mydriatic and cycloplegic agent, prescribed for mydriasis, uveitis, iritis and cycloplegia. It dilates the pupil in the eyes.When should Cyclopentolate not be taken? (Contraindications)
Contraindicated in patients with untreated narrow-angle glaucoma and hypersensitivity.What is the dosage of Cyclopentolate?
Adult: Ophthalmic- Mydriasis and cycloplegia for diagnosis: As 0.5% solution: Instill 1 drop; may repeat 5-15 minutes later. Uveitis; Iritis: As 0.5% solution: Instill 1-2 drops up to 4 times/day.How should Cyclopentolate be taken?

• Caution should be exercised in patients with open-angle glaucoma, at risk for developing narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary obstruction, Down syndrome, any allergy, who are taking other medications, children, elderly, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.• It may cause blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
• It may be harmful if swallowed.
• It may cause sensitivity to sunlight; wear sunglasses while going out in sunlight.
