Trade Name(s): International- Ziana, Veltin. Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This combination medication contains antibiotic and retinoid, prescribed for acne. Tretinoin reduces the amount of oil released by oil glands. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): Contraindicated in patients with stomach or bowel inflammation, and hypersensitivity.
Dosage & When it is to be taken : Topical- Apply over the face at bedtime. How it should be taken : It comes as gel to apply topically, as directed by your physician. Warnings and Precautions : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of open wound, sunburn, or damaged skin, eczema, high white blood cell counts, stomach or bowel problems, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. * Avoid exposure to sunlight. * For external use only; avoid contact with eyes. Side Effects : Redness of the skin, scaling, itching, burning, and stinging. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store at 25°C. Protect from light. Protect from freezing. |
