Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is a chemical antiseptic, prescribed for gingivitis, cleansing skin and wound areas.

When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): 

Hypersensitivity.

Category B : Animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women OR Animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in any trimester.


When it is to be taken : As 0.2% solution: Rinse with 10 ml for 1 min 2-3 times/day.
How it should be taken : It comes as liquid to rinse the affected area as directed by your physician.
Special Instruction : 
* Caution should be exercised in patients with history of any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
* For external use only.
* Avoid contact with eyes, ears, and mouth; if the medication is accidentally swallowed nausea and stomach upset may occur.
Side Effects : 
Skin sensitivity, irritation of eye, mucosal irritation and staining of the teeth and tongue.
Other Precautions : 
* Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store it at controlled room temperature (25°C).
