Generic Name : Calcium Dobesilate
Trade Name(s): India- Cabisyl, Caldob, Cocalate, Dbs, Dobesil, Dobest, Dobilet, Dobkair, Dosil 500, Doxium, Eflo, Mobium, Osil, Rhythm, Smuth Cap, Swift Cap, Varisil, Vasoflo. Why it is prescribed (Indications) : This medication is a vasoprotective, prescribed for circulatory disorders. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): It should not be administered during the first trimester of pregnancy. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity.
Dosage & When it is to be taken : Adult: PO- The recommended dose is 0.5-1 g/day in divided doses. How it should be taken : It comes as a capsule to take by mouth, with food. Warnings and Precautions : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of liver impairment. Side Effects : Nausea, diarrhea, skin rash, fever, headache and vertigo. * Avoid excess dosage. Storage Conditions : Store below 30°C. |
