Why it is prescribed (Indications) : 
This medication is a synthetic derivative of calcitriol or vitamin D, prescribed for plaque psoriasis.  It regulates skin cell production and development.
When it is not to be taken (Contraindications): Hypersensitivity.

Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

Dosage & When it is to be taken : 
Adult: Topical-As 0.005% cream/ointment: Apply 1-2 times/day. Max: 100 g per week.
How it should be taken : 
It comes as cream and ointment to apply topically, as directed by your physician.
Warnings and Precautions : 
* Caution needed for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and people with hypersensitivity.
* Avoid using this medication on your face.
Side Effects : 
Local - Burning, itching and skin irritation.
Other Precautions : 
* Avoid excess dosage.
Storage Conditions : 
Store it at controlled room temperature (15° C - 25° C).
