India- Adbeta Tab , Adbeta-H Tab , Atpure Tab. International- Tenoretic. This medication is a beta-blocker, prescribed for chest pain and high blood pressure. It relaxes blood vessels and slows down the heart rate to improve blood flow and decrease blood pressure. When it is not to be taken (Contraindications):
When it is to be taken : Adult: PO- Angina pectoris; HTN- 50-100 mg once daily. Migraine prophylaxis 50-100 mg/day. How it should be taken : It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, once or twice a day. Special Instruction : * Caution should be exercised in patients with history of asthma or other lung disease, diabetes, any allergy, overactive thyroid, neuroendocrine tumor, heart failure, slow heart rate, poor blood circulation, heart or kidney disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. * It may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery and get up slowly from bed while taking this medication. * It may affect platelet counts; avoid injury or bruising. * Patient may develop with increased risk of allergic reaction, if it so consult with your doctor. Side Effects : Heart- Slow heart rate and heart failure. Central Nervous System- Headache, fatigue, dizziness, hallucinations, confusion and sleep disturbances. Gastrointestinal - Diarrhea and nausea. Respiratory - Wheezing and shortness of breath. * Monitor blood pressure and sugar level regularly while taking this medication. Storage Conditions : Store it at room temperature (20°- 25°C). |
