Test : Toxoplasmosis gondii


Indications : Central nervous system disorders in AIDS

Physiology : Toxoplasama gondii is excreated by cats and if encountered by immunocomprimised patients causes cerebritis .Indirect flourescence antibody test is carried out.

Normal Range : > 1: 164

Interpretation : An increasing immunoflourescence antibody titer indicates recent infections

i have a friend that is 6 months pregnant and she dicovered that is having toxoplasma in blood analysis. The doctors told her to abort .
Can somebody tell if there is any chance to cure, or to discover if the child is affected?
