Physiology Present in larger amount in bones along with calcium
Normal Range 2.5-4.5 mg/100ml
Interpretation Decresed levels are seen in rickets characterized by lower amounts of vitamin D, hyperparathyroidism, increased amounts are seen in hypervitaminosis D and renal failure.
