Test : Blood urea nitrogen


Indications : kidney damage

Physiology : It is the catabolic product of proteins and the excess is excreted in kidneys.

Normal Range : 7-25mgs/dl

Interpretation : Increased levels indicate heart and kidney damage. Decreased levels indicate malabsorption and low protein intake
