Slide animation to make you understand the surgical operation for removal of bladder or cystectomy. This operation is usually done for the cancers of bladder that are not controlled by endoscopy and chemotherapy. The cystectomy surgery is performed by Urologist and is a major surgical procedure. It can be either a simple or a radical cystectomy. After removal of the bladder the urine is diverted either into an artificial bladder or externally and collected into a bag to be discarded regularly.
