Recipe 1:

The tender coconut water can be consumed in its natural form.  

  

 
Properties:

  • The plain tender coconut water is unctuous
  • Sweet in taste
  • Aphrodisiac
  • Cooling
  • Light to digest
  • Cures Pitta & Vata doshas
  • Increases the Agni
  • Cleanses the urinary bladder
  • Coconut water is a mild diuretic
  • It can easily replace saline solution when needed
  • Refreshing
  • Reduces the heat of the body
  • Rehydrating
  • Rich in mineral salts 
  • Improves mental concentration
       


Indications: 

  • Coconut water is good for jaundice

  • Urinary diseases

  • Urinary stones

  • Pimples

  • Measles

  • Prickly heat

  • Heat boils

  • Sun burn 

  • Itching

  • Diabetes

  • Cancer

    


Recipe 2:


1. Coconut water – 100 ml
2. Honey – 2 spoons full (10 ml)
3. Milk – 50 ml
 

Preparation:


Mix the three ingredients thoroughly & consume.

 

Indications: Best during,
  • Fatigue
  • Nervousness 
  • Weight loss
  • Male sterility 
  • Constipation
  • Protection against Osteoporosis 

Recipe 3 : 

1. Coconut water - 150 ml
2. Lemon juice – few drops 
 

Preparation
:

The ingredients need to be mixed well before consumption


Indication:
  • Loss of appetite 
  • Especially good for babies 
  • Vomiting 
  • Nausea
  • Worm infestation 
  • Prevention of hypertension
  • Improves liver function 


Glossary:

Vata – It refers to one of the three doshas. This is made of air and ether. This functional unit is characterized by movement, coldness, lightness and dryness in the body. When imbalanced it produces pain in various parts of the body.

Pitta – It refers to one of the three doshas. This is made of fire and water. This functional unit is characterized by heat, temperature and digestion in the body. When imbalanced it produces heat and burning sensation in the body. 

Kapha – It refers to one of the three doshas. This is made of earth and water in our body. It is characterized by fluidity, strength and nourishment. When imbalanced it produces heaviness and phlegm in the body 

Doshas – Literally that which can go out of balance. Bodily humor
