Elumicchaiyodanam (Lemon Rice)


Preparation

Ingredients

Lemon - 1 fruit
Rice - 1 cup
Sesame oil - 3 Spoons
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Black gram - 1 Spoon
Split chickpea - 1 Spoon
Green chilly - 1
Turmeric powder - 1 Pinch
Curry Leaves - Few
Asafetida - 1 Pinch
Salt - To taste

Method

  1. Cook the rice
  2. Season mustard, black gram, split chickpea, green chilly, turmeric powder, curry leaves, and asafetida in sesame oil
  3. Add this to the cooked rice
  4. Add salt and lemon juice to the rice
  5. Mix them well and serve

Indications

  • It improves Agni
  • Improves the taste perception
  • Increases appetite
  • Relieves flatulence
  • Relieves Anorexia
