Sanskrit name: Agasthiya
Tamil name: Agathi Keerai


Indications:
  • Balances pitta and kapha

Preparation:

Ingredients:

Hummingbird Tree Leaves – 2 bunches
Mung dhal – 1 spoon 
Mustard – 1 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 pinch 
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Red chilly – 1 
Ghee – 2 tsp
Grated coconut – 3 spoons full
Rock salt – according to taste

Method:

Add ghee in a deep pan and heat. Season mustard, asafetida, cumin seeds and red chilly. Now add the chopped leaves and mung dhal. Add little rock salt. Stir occasionally and cook till done. Finally add grated coconut and mix well.
