Early signs to identify Autism in a Child

RSS Feeds   Text
Some possible ways to identify autism in children may be the following symptoms:

Children do not babble or baby talk.

Children do not point out things by the end of first year.

Children do not utter a word by middle of second year.

Children are not able to speak two word sentences by the end of two years.

Children do not respond to their own names.

Children do not absorb the social skills and thus stay away from people.

Children also make poor eye contacts.

Children who are not interested in toys.

Children do not laugh or smile and may seem to be hard of hearing as well.
Other forms of behavior that is shown by autistic children are their total involvement in their own life, so much as to the exclusion of the parents. This often leaves the parents frustrated as they feel that they are unable to reach out to their children. These children also react in a different manner to certain colors or objects. A little older autistic child finds it difficult to interpret social gestures, or emotions; even his own emotions at times seem to frighten him.
