How Do I Take Care Of My CATHETER-EXIT Site? |

Meticulous sterility techniques like washing hands repeatedly with antiseptic solution should be followed if doing CAPD. The catheter site needs to be carefully cleaned with : Soap & water. Soap & water followed by povidone iodine solution. Check for : Any bleeding, scab or crust formation at the exit site wound. Fat Necrosis ( i.e. dead tissue) in the form of clear, sticky fluid. Avoid : Alcohol Powder Oil based oinments Pressure from tight clothes Scratching Tension on catheter Dirty skin |

Posted on: 09/21/2011 my daddy age 71 yrs showing createnine 3.8 in apr,4.2 in june,4.8 in aug and 7.3 in sept.But not showing any clinical symtoms.plz any one can guide me what to do.
