A few interesting facts :
v We have 32 permanent teeth, arranged in pairs in the upper and lower jaws.
v A tooth has two parts - the crown and the root. Crown is the part of the tooth that stays above the gum while the root stays below the gum line.
vThe hard white outside of the tooth is the enamel-the hardest material of the body.
vThe bacteria that forms plaque produces an acid, which erodes the enamel and leads to cavities.
v Wisdom tooth is a third molar which appears in early teens or late twenties.
